Empowering Mental Wellness

Genevieve Chapman Counselling

Your journey is one-of-a-kind.

Counselling can be a place to slow things down, get curious about what’s going on, and find more steady footing in your day-to-day life. I offer person-centred, collaborative counselling grounded in a biopsychosocial framework, meaning we explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life context together, not alone.

My approach is flexible and personalized, informed by evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems-informed practices. I aim to meet people where they are, bringing warmth, curiosity, and practical support to each session. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, self-criticism, relationship challenges, or feeling stuck, we work together at a pace that feels supportive and realistic.

My style is warm, curious, and flexible.
Together, we take things at a pace that feels manageable, respectful, and supportive of your goals.

Genevieve Chapman

Hey there, I’m Gen!

I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor offering virtual counselling.

With a background in arts, education, and public service, I am deeply passionate about helping others, making connections, and creating a safe space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow.

I approach counselling with flexibility, curiosity, and respect for each person’s lived experience. Rather than follow a rigid plan, I aim to meet you where you are and adapt our work to what feels most supportive in the moment.

Life can be complex, and people need different things at different times. My role is to offer a steady, responsive space where we can explore what’s coming up and move at a pace that feels manageable.

Values often play an important role in this work. When things feel uncertain or overwhelming, reconnecting with what matters most can offer a sense of direction, like a compass that helps steady the ship, even when the waters feel rough.

Services

Consultation

Starting counselling can feel like a big step. I offer a free 15-minute consultation as an opportunity for us to connect, discuss what’s bringing you here, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit.
This is a relaxed, informal conversation where you’re welcome to ask questions, share what you’re hoping for, and get a sense of my approach to counselling.
This consultation is not a therapy session, but rather a space to connect, gather information, and decide how you’d like to move forward.

50-Minute Counselling Session

A 50-minute Counselling session offers dedicated time to explore what’s been coming up for you, work toward your goals, and build insight and skills at a pace that feels supportive and manageable.

Note: Some sliding scale slots are available

Couples Counselling Session

A 50-minute couples counselling session offers a supportive space for partners to explore concerns, improve communication, and better understand one another. Sessions are collaborative and focused on strengthening connection and navigating challenges together.

Note: For initial couples counselling sessions, an additional/free 30-minute add-on may be recommended.
